CMCA POWER   WISE T20  CUP The CMCA PowerWise Cup is living up to its promise of electrifying cricket action, with the second weekend's matches at Scottburgh Country Club delivering some scintillating performances! Two pulsating encounters took centre stage on Saturday, with the CMCA Green Mamba's clashing with the Port Shepstone Challengers in a mouth-watering contest.   The Challengers called the shots, winning the toss and opting to field first. The Mamba's, however, were in no mood to back down, posting an impressive total of 172/9 in their allotted 20 overs. Blake Vincent led the charge with a solid 33, ably supported by Deshan Pillay (16), Rorke Harris (10 ), Shivesh Moodley (10), and Ryan Mansoor (10). MINI-CRICKET PROGRAM A SUCCESS  The KFC Mini-Cricket Program launched by the Clinton Moodley Cricket Academy is proving to be a huge success. This Wednesday Woodcrest Academy joined the program( As seen below in their blue uniforms).  The Saturday morning program at the Scottburgh Country Club attracted a large number of kids as seen below, there were over 40 children that participated.  The KFC MINI-CRICKET program is gathering momentum says Head Coach Clinton Moodley. "We are glad to see parents getting their children to the ground and getting them involved in this beautiful game" . Participation in cricket develops all kinds of skills, hand eye coordination, helps with dexterity, team work, motivation, discipline and obviously keeps you fit and healthy. Awards Kingsmead  (click) CRICKET AWARDS CEREMONY HELD IN KINGSMEAD CRICKET STADIUM In a glittering awards ceremony held at Kingsmead Cricket Stadium the CLINTON MOODLEY CRICKET ACADEMY (CMCA) was honoured for the role they played in Chatsworth United winning the U11, U13 & U15 KZNCU League. Several players distinguished themselves on the field and were given special awards. Kalay Moodley & Veronique du Plooy from the CMCA also represented the Ladies Chatsworth United Premier League side and performed really well this season. NEW JUNIOR CRICKET LEAGUE LAUNCHED

 CRICKET NEWS - NEW JUNIOR CRICKET LEAGUE LAUNCHED The Clinton Moodley Cricket Academy(CMCA) in conjunction with the Scottburgh Country Club kicked off a junior hardball cricket T20 league this Saturday the 25th March 2023, . Four teams will participate in this league, CMCA Green Mamba`s, CMCA Red Devils, CMCA Rockets and Malangeni Cricket Club. This weekend’s inaugural match was a nail-biter. The Mamba`s overcame a strong Red Devil`s defeating them by one run. Mamba`s Captain Rorke Harris won the toss and elected to bat, the Mambas made a competitive 122 runs in their 20 Overs, batting contributions came from Shivaar Sivpersad 16 runs, Rorke Harris 13 runs, Arshaan Ishwarlal 10 runs with the rest of the batters chipping in.The Red Devils bowling figures were respectable.
